Silver Linings Playbook DVD review

I recently watched the movie Silver linings playbook on DVD.

The story is about Pat Solatano (played by Bradley Cooper) who has spent the last eight months in a mental institution after losing his house, wife and job. He has bipolar disease and comes out to live with his mother and father as the courts determined.

Pat wants to rebuild his life, remain positive and reunite with his wife even though the separation is what tipped Pat over the edge. Pat's parents want him to be happy and move on with his life and they also all love the Philadelphia Eagles football team. Pat meets Tiffany (played by Jennifer Lawrence),a girl who is also in a similar position as Pat and is complicated. Tiffany and Pat keep on bumping into each other and eventually Tiffany makes a deal with Pat that she will get a letter to his wife if he does something for her. The movie then takes us through a series of events that bring Tiffany and Pat to share a special bond.

This movie is inspirational and full of hope, showing us that no matter what life throws at us there are ways to make things work and enjoy life.

If you suffer from a mental illness or know someone who does, you would know that it is a very hard disease to live with. I love that this movie shows us that you can make it work, if you are motivated and embrace challenges. Being positive plays a big part in making it work and getting on with life.

The movie is a simple story of people's lives that happens everyday, and shows that people can change their lives for the better.

Have you watched this movie? What is your favourite movie at the moment?
